Ubuntu Booking annual licence terms

Your annual plan
Ubuntu Booking costs R995 for one WordPress website for one year. The initial payment and each annual renewal are R995. This plan renews automatically until you cancel future renewals. There is no six-month plan. Prices are in South African rand; Hey George is not VAT registered and does not charge VAT. Hosting, payment-provider processing and any provider messaging charges are separate.

What you receive
Your paid plan provides one production website activation, the Ubuntu Booking plugin download, available product updates and support during the paid period. The included software licence is GPL-2.0-or-later; the annual fee is for publisher services and entitlements and does not replace your software licence rights.
Ubuntu Booking requires WordPress 6.5 or later, PHP 8.2 or later and a public HTTPS website. WooCommerce is optional. The plugin supports booking resources, rental inventory, extra items, front-end staff planning and payment integrations. You operate your own booking business, set your own booking and refund terms, manage staff access and maintain backups and the scheduled worker.
Your provider accounts
You use your own eligible merchant, Google and Meta accounts. Provider approval, permissions, verification, fees and restrictions apply. Managed Google and WhatsApp Connect buttons remain subject to publisher and provider approval; those services may be unavailable while review is pending. Direct credential setup requires the appropriate provider credentials and configuration. An annual licence does not waive provider requirements or guarantee a provider's uptime. Test your chosen integrations before accepting customer bookings.
Account, delivery and activation
Verify your purchaser email before checkout. Your Ubuntu Booking purchaser account is separate from other Hey George plugin accounts. PayFast collects payment details on its hosted page; we do not collect card numbers. Payment must be verified against the order before entitlement is granted. Returning from PayFast alone does not confirm payment.
After verified payment, your account provides website activation and the protected download. Enter the exact public WordPress website address, then copy the resulting site-bound activation key into Ubuntu Booking. Each verified successful payment extends the paid period by one calendar year from the later of the existing expiry and payment processing time. Failed payments do not remove previously paid time. Contact support if a payment or delivery is delayed; keep the order reference.
Annual renewal and cancellation
PayFast stores the recurring payment mandate and charges the agreed R995 annually. Existing subscriptions keep their recorded price; a change to new-customer pricing does not change your existing mandate. Use Cancel future renewals in your Ubuntu Booking account. A cancellation is complete when PayFast confirms it. Pending or uncertain requests remain visible and are retried. Your current paid access continues through its expiry after confirmed cancellation.
Uninstalling the plugin, disconnecting a provider, deleting a website or closing an account does not cancel the recurring mandate. Cancel it explicitly and obtain confirmation. Contact support before creating a replacement subscription if the previous payment or cancellation result is uncertain.
Website changes, expiry and disputes
The one-site activation is bound to the address you enter. Contact support before moving to another address; automatic self-service transfers and additional staging activations are not included. Expiry stops refreshed publisher keys, managed entitlement and protected downloads or updates. Your existing booking data is not deleted. Disconnect provider access explicitly when ending that connection.
Cancellation of future renewals does not itself refund a completed payment. Contact info@heygeorge.co.za with your order reference for a duplicate payment, unauthorised charge, failed delivery or refund request. Requests are assessed under applicable consumer law and the circumstances of the purchase. These terms do not exclude mandatory cancellation, refund or other consumer rights. Where the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act cooling-off right applies to this service, you may cancel within seven days of concluding the agreement without penalty and receive a full refund within 30 days of cancellation. Other mandatory remedies remain available. See the Act and its amendments. Verified refunds or chargebacks may revoke the corresponding publisher entitlement and require cancellation of its mandate. Revocation does not itself return money.
Records and information
Your account displays order and paid-access information. Keep a copy of these terms, your payment reference and confirmation email. The accepted policy version and consent facts are recorded with the order. Our privacy notice describes account, billing and connection information. Contact support for access, correction, account closure, a billing complaint or another purchase query. No additional Hey George fee is added at checkout.
